The Learning Resource Centre in the Harrison building offers flexible working space for all College students.

Learning resource centre (Harrison)

The recently refurbished Learning Resource Centre is available to all students for quiet, private study. The Learning Resource Centre is located in room 205/206 of the Harrison Building. It is open during the normal building open hours.

  • Available for quiet study
  • All desks fitted with power facilities for laptops
  • Free wireless internet access
  • Four bookable meeting rooms (with a computer and plasma screen).
  • Copies of the core set texts for Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science degree programmes (reference only)
  • Copies of Undergraduate and MSc Projects from the past 2 years (reference only)
  • Information screen displaying important messages such as hand-in dates and forthcoming events.

Meeting rooms

The rooms are for group meetings and collaborative work, not for individuals or small groups simply to work on problem sheets or similar. To ensure these rooms are used fairly please book a room before use. You can book a room on the College's Meeting Room Booking System (note: the booking system is only available to computers on campus or via the Uni VPN.)

Study materials

Within the Learning Resource Centre you will find copies of the core set texts from your module reading lists (see taught programmes), and undergraduate and MSc projects from the past 2 years. These are for student reference only, please do not remove any books or projects from the Learning Resource Centre. If you are looking for a key text, visit the online University Library Catalogue for records of all books and journals within the University.
