4.4 Leaving the University

Students thinking about withdrawing must speak to their Personal Tutor or discipline Senior Tutor as soon as possible. There are many other options available to students suchas HWSSP (Health, Wellbeing, Support for Study Procedures), however if none of these are appropriate please contact the Humanities Education Team (Streatham) or Education Support Services (Penryn) for advice on the next steps. Students should also consult the Student Guild as there may be implications on funding.

If students have passed assessments in certain modules it is possible to use the credits in accredited prior learning agreements with the University of Exeter or other Universities in the future. This may allow students to be granted exemptions in a programme. Please note however that Exeter credits are only valid for this purpose for five years after leaving. More information can be found in the University Procedures for the Interruption and Voluntary Withdrawal of Taught Students (PDF).
