Dr Khurram Bhatti

Khurram Bhatti has joined the University of Exeter, UK, as an Associate Professor (Education & Research) in Cybersecurity. He is a member of the Security & Trust of Advanced Systems research group at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Environment, Science & Economy of the University of Exeter, UK. He is a Marie-Curie Research Fellow with interdisciplinary research interests. His main research work focuses extensively in the domain of Embedded Systems and Information security with a particular focus on Microarchitectural security vulnerabilities.
Khurram has an extensive experience in academic research & teaching. He is also an Adjuct faculty at the University of South Brittany (UBS), Lorient, France, for the EU Erasmus-Mundus Joint Masters in Cybersecurity -CYBERUS (https://master-cyberus.eu/). Prior to joining the University of Exeter, UK, Khurram has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Information Technology University (ITU), Pakistan.
Khurram has done his post doctoral research at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. He holds a PhD in Computer Engineering and MS in Embedded Systems from the University Cote d'Azur, Nice, France. During his academic career, Khurram has taught at the University of Cote d'Azur, France, University of South Brittany, France, COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan, and Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore, Pakistan. He also holds the honorary title of National Geographic Explorer for 2022-2023 for his work on Climate.
