This module enhances your engineering management skills by providing an overview of human factors, quality culture and total quality within engineering and commerce. Furthermore, by the end of the module, you should have acquired a range of useful attributes that should stand you in good stead in the world of work, including the ability to identify and analyse potential employment law issues and problems, and to find information on employment law matters.

This module covers Specific Learning Outcomes in Engineering, which apply to accredited programmes at Bachelors/MEng/Masters level. These contribute to the educational requirements for CEng registration (as defined under the UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence – UK-SPEC).

This module correlates to references U2, E3, D2, D5, S1, S2, S4, P3, P6, P7, MU4, ME2 and MS1. These references are indices of the specific learning outcomes expected of Bachelors/MEng/Masters candidates set out in UK-SPEC, codified with reference to systems used by professional accrediting institutions. A full list of the standards can be found on the Engineering Council's website, at http://www.engc.org.uk
