7.3 Draft Essay Policies
Whilst the College's default position is that we do not routinely mark or comment on students' draft work, tutors are free to offer this service in relation to particular assignments, provided that it is offered explicitly, clearly and in good time to all students taking the assignment in question. If this offer has not been clearly made to all students tutors may not offer the marking of drafts on an ad hoc basis to individual students who request it. In most cases, though, students are welcome to consult with their tutors / personal tutors in office hours about their choice of essay question and initial ideas, and to seek advice and guidance about further reading etc. Students are also invited to seek advice from their tutor / personal tutor about how to improve their work in the light of feedback received on earlier assignments.
