Post doc at Warwick, Mathematics Institute 1986 - 1988, followed by a post doc at Bath, School of Math. Sci., 1988-1990. Joined Exeter in 1990 as lecturer, promoted to Reader in 1996 and Professor in 1999. Head of Dept. Mathematics 2003-2005, Associate Dean in the Postgraduate Faculty, 2003 - 2005.
