Personal Profile

I am a Lecturer in Cyber Security and member of the Security and Trust of Advanced Systems group at the Department of Computer Science, University of Exeter.
Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London. There, I worked on two EPSRC-funded projects, advised by Professor Pasquale Malacaria:  

  • EPSRC project: CHAI – Cyber Hygiene in AI-Enabled Domestic Life

  • EPSRC project: Customised and Adaptive Approach for Optimal Cybersecurity Investment

My research interests lie in cyber security, optimisation, game theory, and information theory, with an extension into machine learning.  

Education

My educational background includes a BEng with First Class and the Excellence Prize from Newcastle University, an MSc with Distinction and PhD from Imperial College London. I was supervised by Professor Erol Gelenbe at the Intelligent Systems and Networks reserach group.
