Background:

I am a third year PhD student in Mathematics, under the Centre for Geophysical and Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics, supervised by Dr Claire Foullon. My second supervisor is Prof Jacqueline Christmas. My main research interests are in the study of Solar Prominences; both their dynamics and the detection of them.

My PhD studentship is EPSRC-funded, running through to September 2025.

I have been at Exeter for seven years, and graduated from the University's MMath program in the summer of 2021 with a First-Class Honours, with a final-year focus on applied topics such as fluid dynamics, magnetic fields and space weather. However, despite this, my masters dissertation was in pure mathematics, and was titled 'Topological Entropy', under the supervision of Prof Ana Rodrigues.

Teaching:

I am currently working as a postgraduate teaching assistant for MTH1001 (Mathematical Structures), and I occasionally work as an invigilator for exams within CEMPS and the Business School.

I have previously worked as a PTA for MTH1002 (Mathematical Methods) and MTH2009 (Complex Analysis).
