Dr Miaomin Wang

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Location: Harrison 133a

Dr. Wang is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Vibration Engineering Section. He obtained his PhD from the Dalian University of Technology in 2022. During his Ph.D, he constructed a low-cost and portable real-time displacement monitoring system and corresponding wireless system networks, based on a custom-developed image processing software. The constructed system (networks) has been applied in several long-span suspension bridge tests. Wang’s research interests are in computer vision, civionics, and structural health monitoring. He now is focusing on the development of low-cost wireless sensor networks for the UKRI-funded ROSEHIPS program grant.
