Dr Matt Johns

Research Fellow

Location: Innovation Centre Phase 1 0

Matt Johns is a Research Fellow in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter. After obtaining degrees in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) and Engineering and Management (MSc) he embarked on a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Exeter. Following the submission of his thesis entitled "Incorporating Domain Expertise into Evolutionary Algorithm Optimisation of Water Distribution Systems" he worked as an Associate Research Fellow in the Centre for Water Systems developing decision support tools to aid in the optimal design of waste water treatment systems. His research interests include evolutionary optimisation, water systems optimisation, human-computer interaction and interactive visualisation.
