Amirali is a PhD student at the University of Exeter, specializing in leveraging real-time environmental sensing for enhanced flood forecasting and early warning systems. With an academic foundation in agricultural water engineering (BSc) and civil engineering (MSc), Amirali expanded his expertise by pursuing a second master's in Data Science and Economics at the University of Milan, Italy. Before his current role, he gained valuable skills in data analysis, programming, geographic information systems (GIS) software, remote sensing, and machine learning. Amirali is passionate about applying data-driven approaches to predict natural hazards, focusing on integrating satellite remote sensing with ground-sensed data to tackle complex environmental challenges.
