Alaina Cockerell
I am an LSI funded PhD student supervised by Dr David Richards and Prof Krasimira Tsaneva-Atanasova. Before beginning at Exeter in September 2021 I completed my integrated masters degree in Physics at the University of Manchester. My project involves building a mathematical model to simulate human blastocyst and blastoid development. A blastoid is a stem cell model for an early human embryo, the model I will be working with is currently being developed by Prof Austin Smith and Dr Ge Guo.
