Profile

Abid is a PhD student in the renewable energy department, working under the supervision of Prof. Philipp Thies and Dr. Ajit Pillai. His PhD project title is "Impact quantification of mechanically induced thermal loads on power cable behaviour and response". This project aims to experimentally quantify the impact of thermal loading on the mechanical characteristics and performance of submarine power cables.
