Call for papers

The AMPRAW2013 committee are pleased to announce the third Annual Meeting of Postgraduates in the Reception of the Ancient World.  AMPRAW is a two day residential conference which aims to provide both UK and international postgraduate students, from all disciplines, with the opportunity to present their research on the reception of the ancient world to the thriving classical reception academic community.  This year’s conference will be held Thursday 5 and Friday 6 December at the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus.

We welcome postgraduate students from all disciplines to submit proposals for papers (twenty minutes long followed by discussion).  We will consider proposals on any aspect of the reception of the ancient world whilst topics relating to the conference’s central themes – film, translation and theatre – are especially invited. Proposals for coordinated panels of up to three papers are also very welcome.

Please send your title and abstract (no more than 300 words) by Saturday 31 August 2013, to AMPRAW2013@exeter.ac.uk.  When submitting abstracts, please also include your name, academic institution and level of study.

For further information, please contact AMPRAW2013@exeter.ac.uk.

We look forward to receiving your abstracts.
