8.2 College careers support

The College of Humanities has designated Careers Consultants: Mark Armitage, Ian Hodges, Tom McAndrew and Rowanna Smith. Every undergraduate student will receive a talk from one of the Careers Consultants in each year of study.

The College has its own Employability Manager, Rachel Wheeler, based in the East Wing Office in Queen’s Building. Her responsibilities include developing relationships with employers, coordinating work placements and arranging College careers events. The Employability Manager is responsible for both Exeter and Cornwall campuses. In addition, each department has an Academic Representative for employability, who ensures that the needs and interests of their students are well represented. You may also choose to discuss your career options with your Personal Tutor.

For more information about employability activity within the College, please visit the Careers section of the intranet.
