2.5  STUDENT WELLBEING

University life can be stressful as well as rewarding, and of course anyone can experience difficulties in their family or emotional lives. The Student Wellbeing Service is there to help. Beware of the common fallacy of regarding counselling as an admission of self-defeat; it is essentially the same as taking advice from a doctor. There is a team of counsellors employed by the Guild of Students, and you can arrange to talk, in complete confidence, about any problems you are facing. Counselling is based in the Hailey Wing of Reed Hall, and office hours are 10 am-1 pm, 2 pm-5 pm. To make an appointment, call in, phone Exeter 264381 or email: counselling@exeter.ac.uk.
