Advice on research, writing and study methods can be obtained from the Educational Enhancement Unit, as well as occasional workshops and tutorials. The Educational Enhancement Unit is situated in the Queen’s Building and offers a Student Skills Development Service where you will receive one to one guidance and information to help you with all aspects of academic study. For more information and to book an appointment please visit http://as.exeter.ac.uk/eeu/studentskills/individual/ .

In addition the University hosts two Royal Literary Fund fellows. The RLF fellows are widely published authors who are available to offer one to one help with improving essay writing style and structure. They are able to see you over several sessions if necessary, and each session can be up to one hour. Learn how to express ideas more powerfully and gracefully, explore different ways of constructing an argument, and develop the way you use punctuation. This improves assessment results at all levels. The RLF fellows are based in Room 237 Queen’s Building and can be contacted on (01392) 262450 or you can make an appointment by signing up on their door.
