Health, Safety and Wellbeing

Health and Safety

The University’s policy on health and safety can be found on the Human Resources website.

Wellbeing

Register with the Health Centre

It is advisable to register with the on-campus health centre when you arrive so that if you require a doctor or nurse at any time there will be no delay in making appointments as necessary. Please read the information using the following link: http://www.exeterstudenthealthcentre.co.uk/

Wellbeing Services

Health and wellbeing are crucial to effective study, as well as a rich and fulfilling student experience. Wellbeing services provide workshops for PGR students in the following areas: Mindfulness, Perfectionism, Managing Stress, Confidence and Resilience, building resilience and maintaining a healthy sleeping pattern. Courses are bookable through My Career Zone by searching ‘Researcher Development Exeter’ under ‘Events’.

AccessAbility

Wellbeing Services have a dedicated team of disability specialists called AccessAbility. The service is available to students who experience a range of issues with a specific emphasis on how they are impacting on your ability to study and cope at university.

Please contact AccessAbility if you would like to book an appointment and to find out more about the support available. Referrals can also be made by your doctor or another professional.

AccessAbility also offer drop in sessions in the Forum on a Monday, Wednesday and a Friday between 1pm and 3pm. You can use these sessions to ask any queries you have for our AccessAbility advisors. To do this go to the SID desk and ask to see an AccessAbility advisor.
