Campus, Exeter

5 September 2014

Green Connections will explore creative practices which respond to environments in this age of crisis. Participants, including scientists, artists, academics and NGO representatives, will
together ask questions concerning our methods of response and the impact of these choices.

The day will include a keynote address from Associate Professor of Art and Environment, Dr
Daro Montag, papers from postgraduate and academic researchers from a range of
disciplines, a nature writing workshop, and a roundtable discussion. The evening will see the
launch of the exhibition The Trembling Grass, curated by CCANW as part of the Extreme
Imagination festival. A reception dinner will be held at the local, independent vegetarian
restaurant, Herbies.

A special edition of the journal Politics of Place will publish selected papers from the
symposium.
