DESCRIPTION - summary of the module content

For this module you will put into practice the knowledge that you have acquired from the taught elements of the programme and undertake a significant project within an industrial setting. Where possible the project will be taken as a placement within a partner business providing you with hands on experience of managing and developing IT projects within a modern company setting and dealing with the challenges and opportunities therein.  Responsibility for finding the placement lies with the student, but support will be provided by the College's Employability Officer.

In the event that the student cannot undertake a placement (e.g. owing to visa restrictions) one of the partner companies will provide a non-live industrial project for the student to undertake at the University with a combination of academic and industrial supervision.  Students will still complete the same assessments and will receive an employer evaluation from the industrial supervisor.
