DESCRIPTION - summary of the module content
AIMS - intentions of the module
This module is designed to allow students to study an (approved) topic of their choice, and to learn to work within a team (allocated by module leader) to present their chosen topic to their classmates who will complete a formal assessment of each team’s presentation. In addition each student will be required to write a technical essay that argues for some standpoint in modern Computer Science (the essay topic, which must be approved by the module leader, may or may not be the same as their team presentation topic).

The topics covered will vary from year to year and the students are encouraged to suggest their own. By week 3 the team presentations will have been scheduled for the complete semester.
