Guided Independent Learning
GIL service enables you to study on your own with the support
and guidance of a tutor. You can use the INTO Learning Resource
Centre - including its counselling service and its web-based resources. Essentially it is a 1-2-1
guidance service that supports nearly every aspect of your university work.
GIL is now fully booked until the end of term. It will reopen with new times on the 7th January 2019
GIL service has specific opening times detailed below. Please email us at the email address below with
suggested dates, times, and the purpose of the meeting. We will then
get in touch with you to confirm. At the first appointment we
will be able to work
an individualised study programme and then follow this up
with subsequent appointments when you feel you want to.

You can also ask for a writing tutorial - please mention this in your email so we can allow a longer time. You must bring your text on a memory stick or send it by email in advance so we can look at it together on a computer.

Registering and opening times - making an appointment

Appointments are made on a strictly 'first come first served' basis. It would also help if you could
