Early Modern Reading Group

The aim of the Early Modern reading group is to bring early modernists across the different university departments in to dialogue. It is run by Anna-Marie and Ed, a literary scholar and an historian, but different members of the group select the reading materials for each session. The result is a varied and sometimes eclectic programme, which brings everyone in to contact with new texts.

The theme for this term is "Dreams and Nightmares: the best and worst of early modern experience". The fortnightly sessions are held 5-6pm on a Thursday, and we will follow the discussions by going for dinner/drinks somewhere nearby. *Light* refreshments are provided for the session itself. Further details about the upcoming meetings, and more information about the term timetable, can be found on our ELE page. Alternatively, just email Alexander Dawson (ad496@exeter.ac.uk) or Sarah-Jayne Ainsworth (sa479@exeter.ac.uk) to get in touch, and it would be great to hear from you!
