LTHE and Researcher Development

LTHE is mandatory for postgraduate researchers (PGRs) who are employed to teach, or support students’ learning at the University of Exeter (please see section 9 of the Teaching Quality Assurance Manual for details here). It is also available to professional services and academic colleagues on E&S Associate Lecturer or research-only contracts, who have a responsibility for teaching and/or supporting learning.

Please note that before undertaking any teaching, you must complete the University’s Learning & Teaching in Higher Education course (LTHE Stage 1). You can find details of the programme here.

If you are a postgraduate research student (PGR) at Exeter, Researcher Development provides personal and professional development opportunities to enhance your research and your employability, in academia or beyond.

Researcher Development can help you through workshops, courses, careers guidance and funding to help you design your own development programmes.
