Organised by students for students

The Humanities Postgraduate Research Student Conference offers a unique opportunity to bring students from across the College’s disciplines into discussion about their research. Organised by students for students, this two-day event offers a platform for University of Exeter postgraduates to present current work in an academically diverse but rigorous environment.

The PGR conference is the only academic conference specifically designed to support Exeter’s M.Phil. and doctoral students in learning how to present their work in an academic environment. It is designed to be inclusive of all aspects of humanities research and has gained a reputation for the presentation of high quality papers.

The benefits to you as a PGR student include:

  • networking with your peers and professors
  • gaining experience in presenting your research in an academic environment
  • building your academic CV
  • the satisfaction of supporting the growth of a dynamic humanities research environment at the University of Exeter
  • having fun with other students

The College of Humanities Postgraduate Research Student Conference 2013 took place on 30th April 30 and 1st May, in the Queen’s Building, Streatham Campus.  Forming part of the conference was an exhibition of creative work by PhD students relating to the conference themes, a keynote address by Professor Philip Schwyzer, and a panel debate of leading academics.

We would like to thank everyone for attending this year's conference and hope you decide to attend and take part next year!

Sincerely,
PGR Conference Committee 2013
