Research Uncovered

The idea

Research Uncovered is your opportunity to help create a series of open lectures, sharing our University's world-class research on a wider platform. Research Uncovered is designed to reach out to students and the local community with campus and community lectures alongside a dedicated online presence for anyone to watch at their convenience.

How does it work?

Any University of Exeter student can get involved with Research Uncovered.

Simply submit a nomination for a lecture or research topic you have found inspiring with the name of the lecturer whose research project interests you most and a few words about what makes their research great.

The nominated topics will be put to an open student vote. Those academics who receive the most votes will be invited to deliver an open lecture on their topic at a specially selected venue.

Students, staff and members of the local community will be invited to try a taste of the exhilarating research that is currently taking place at the University, before discussing the lectures over refreshments.

The Humanities Winner for 2014-15 is Dr Sebastian Matzner, who will be presenting his lecture ‘The History of Sexuality’ on 2nd Februray 5 - 6:30pm in The Lemon Grove.
