Get involved in extracurricular activities

Get involved

We actively encourage our students to become more engaged with the College, University and wider community. By getting involved in extracurricular activities we will be able to support your learning development and employability. There are a number of ways for you to become more involved in Mathematics within the College, whether in social or academic participation.

Tutoring opportunities

Become a tutor and help other students in either an academic or pastoral capacity.

MathSoc

With over 200 members you may want to become involved in MathSoc.

Student Engagement

There are also many other ways within the College and wider community for you to become more involved. You may want to become a student ambassador or improve your employability by achieving The Exeter Award. Visit the student engagement pages to find out more.

Peer Assisted Learning

The Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) sheme gives first year students the opportunity to engage in group learning. The weekly sessions are led by second year mathematics students (PAL Leaders) whose role is to facilitate discussions and promote active learning of the course material.

Student Mentor Scheme

Would you like to help first year international students settle into university life? We are currently seeking students who would be interested in becoming mentors.
