To link the students' academic studies with construction industry processes and the civil engineering profession.

SYLLABUS PLAN - summary of the structure and academic content of the module
Selected institution lectures, lectures and workshops by visiting professors and other external speakers, career counselling by professional civil engineers. Lectures on CDM, health and safety, construction contracts, site supervision and management. Different contract types and relevance to project objectives. Claims and variations under contract. Case study on a major construction project, looking at design criteria, design principles, construction, safety and environmental considerations.
