AIMS - intentions of the module
The purpose of this module is to develop a range of transferable professional and personal skills, that are essential to successful study at University and to later employment.

SYLLABUS PLAN - summary of the structure and academic content of the module
Team skills. Study and learning strategies. Oral and written communications skills. Presentation skills. Basics of engineering drawing. Computer aided drawing. Health and safety in labs, workshops and site visits, Mechanical and electronic workshop practice. Lectures on Excel with associated practical work. Engineering Design Activities: 2 Electronic workshops, 1 Mechanical workshop, all these activities are integrated within the hydro group projects. Final manufacture of the hydro group designs.
