Information for New Students 2018/19

‌Congratulations on securing your place to study in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences (CEMPS) at the University of Exeter. We wish you every success in your forthcoming degree programme and we look forward to working with you over the coming years.

Please take time to read through all of the information below

Freshers' Week 2018: Monday 17th - Sunday 23rd September

All students are expected to be on campus by Monday 17th September at the latest. If there is any reason why you may not be here by this date, please get in contact with the relevant contact for your subject (see below for contact details). The teaching term will then begin on Monday 24th September.

Academic Induction

The purpose of your Academic Induction is to make sure you complete any necessary pre-registration tasks, as well as meet fellow students and the academic staff within the discipline. The day provides a vital introduction to your degree programme and we expect all students to be present.

  • Academic Inductions for undergraduate students are on Tuesday 18th September.
  • Academic Inductions for all other postgraduate students are on Thursday 20th September.

The timetables for your Academic Induction will be uploaded in early September, and by discipline (see below). Please keep checking these pages throughout August and September to make sure you have this information in time for your arrival. Your own timetable will also be available electronically through the new student portal, iExeter, from 1st September.

*Please note: If accessing your timetable on your mobile phone or another device, you will need to ensure the time zone settings are on UK BST (British Summer Time) until 28th October 2018.*

**** If you have any timetable clashes for induction activities on your iExeter timetable, please follow the timetable provided for your subject using the links below****
