Information for New Students 2016/17
Congratulations on securing your place to study in the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences (CEMPS) at the University of Exeter. We wish you every success in your forthcoming degree programme and we look forward to working with you over the coming years.

Freshers' Week 2016: Saturday 10th - Sunday 18th September
All students are expected to be on campus by Monday 12th September at the latest. If there is any reason why you may not be here by this date, please get in contact with the relevant contact for your subject (see below for contact details). The teaching term will then begin on Monday 19th September.
The purpose of your Academic Induction is to make sure you complete any necessary pre-registration tasks, as well as meet fellow students and the academic staff within the discipline. The day provides a vital introduction to your degree programme and we expect all students to be present.
- Academic Inductions for undergraduate students are on Tuesday 13th September.
- Academic Inductions for XM2 (CDT Metamaterials) postgraduate research students are throughout the week commencing Monday 12th September.
- Academic Inductions for all other postgraduate students are on Wednesday 14th September.
- Academic Inductions for Degree Apprenticeship students are on Monday 12th September.
The timetables for your Academic Induction will be uploaded shortly, and by discipline (see below). Please keep checking these pages throughout August and September to make sure you have this information in time for your arrival. Your own timetable will also be available electronically through the new student portal, iExeter, from 1st September.
